My name is ANEESA C Y, and I’m a photographer passionate about the ability to tell stories with images. For me, photography is not just about a moment it’s about locking in emotions, connections, and the ephemeral beauty of life in its most unadorned state. Whether I’m photographing a family, capturing a wedding, or freezing the intimate moments of daily life, my aim is to produce authentic and significant photographs that you can touch.
My Journey
I didn’t always dream of being a photographer. Like most, I began with a curiosity a simple fascination with shadows, light, and how one split second could convey the whole story. I grabbed a camera on a family vacation to somewhere far away years ago, and what began as a hobby turned into much more.
Over time, photography became my language. While others express themselves through words, music, or art, I’ve always found it easiest to connect through images. There’s something incredibly powerful about freezing a real moment in time and knowing that someone, years later, will look back at that photograph and feel everything all over again.
My Approach
I would call my style natural, emotional, and timeless. I don’t think in heavily staged photos or heavy editing that makes people into someone they are not. I think in authentic capture of people as they truly are genuine smiles, genuine tears, imperfectly messy hair, untamable laughter that can’t be faked, and unpretentious moments that are so often overlooked.
When you hire me, you’re not hiring a photographer to capture some photos. You’re hiring a person who genuinely cares about your narrative. I invest in knowing my clients what makes you smile, what moments do you care the most about, what makes your love story different. I want your photos to echo you and not a version of you that doesn’t feel real.
My shoots are laid back and effortless. Whether we’re shooting at dawn on a beach, in your homey living room, or on a chaotic city street, I always try to make you feel relaxed and noticed. One of the best things is when individuals forget the camera is even present.
The People I Work With
I collaborate with individuals, couples, families, and brands who care deeply about authenticity. A lot of clients approach me because they need more than perfect poses and beautiful backgrounds they need pictures that matter.
For couples, I specialize in weddings, elopements, and engagement sessions grand or intimate. For families, I provide lifestyle sessions emphasizing connection rather than perfection. I also serve creatives and small businesses who desire visual content that reflects their voice and mission.

As for what's inspiring me these days.
Nature is a vast inspiration to me. I get peace and clarity being outside particularly around the golden hours when the light is gentle and all feels a little more enchanted. But I also take inspiration from music, film, literature, and individuals. Human emotion is constantly fascinating to me. There is a subtlety of beauty in the way that a hand cradles another, or that someone’s eyes spark when discussing someone they adore.
I’m drawn to imperfection, to vulnerability, to all those small details that make us human. I don’t care about the way things look so much I care about the way they feel.
My Gear and Process
I photograph with high grade digital cameras and prime lenses that enable me to shoot in natural light in any environment. I also shoot on film on some projects for clients who request that warm, organic look.
After every shoot, I meticulously hand edit and curate your photos to best capture the mood and feeling of the session. I edit in a clean and warm manner, taking special care to preserve natural skin tones and keep the integrity of the moment intact.
Turnaround time depends on the project, but I always keep my clients well informed so you know exactly what to expect at each stage.
Beyond Photography
Outside of photography, I’m a coffee aficionado, a nature rambler, and an advocate for slow living. I always say yes to a road trip, and I never refuse a good story whether it’s shared through a photo album, a letter written with pen and paper, or a song on repeat.
I believe in creating value and being honest about what’s important. Photography lets me touch lives in the most honest sense possible, and I’m perpetually thankful for it.
